What are the limitations of the trial versions of your software? |

Our trial versions are fully functional, but have one restriction: the images you save will contain a watermark.

Are the software products on your download page trial versions or full versions? |
All downloads function both as trial version and full version. The software will run in 'trial mode' until you enter a valid unlock code, upon which it switches over to 'registered mode'. In registered mode, the software will no longer add watermarks to the images you save. You will receive an unlock code upon purchasing our software.

I lost my unlock code. How do I get it back? |
If you purchased the software directly from BenVista or if you registered your license with us online, please contact us and we will send you your license details. If you bought our software through a reseller and did not register your license with us online, we do not have your purchase registered in our records. However, we may still be able to find back or replace your unlock code. Please contact us and include as many relevant details as possible, such as product name, reseller's name and website, and date of purchasing. Also, please let us know whether you purchased a boxed version or a download version, and whether you have an original invoice or order confirmation from the reseller. In case you still have a registered copy of the software installed somewhere, please start the software and click "About". The window that appears will show the first ten digits of your unlock code. If you email these ten digits to us, we should be able to find your full code in our records. |

I just updated my BenVista product, but now the software does not accept my unlock code. What is wrong? |
You may have installed a product version that does not come as a free update, but instead requires an upgrade license. For example, if you are a registered user of PhotoZoom Pro 2, you will be able to update to the latest version of PhotoZoom Pro 2 for free, but for PhotoZoom Pro 3 you will need an additional upgrade license. Upgrade licenses can be ordered through our online store. If you do not wish to purchase an upgrade but want to continue using your current product, double check which product version exactly you have a license for (for example PhotoZoom Pro 2), and download it via the "previous products" section of our download page. |
I purchased an Upgrade to PhotoZoom Pro 3, but the software does not accept my unlock code. What should I do? |
After starting the software, first make sure to select the option: - I am upgrading from a previous product
Then, fill in the registration details of your previous product (PhotoZoom Pro 2, PhotoZoom Pro 1, or PhotoZoom Classic 3). These details may include a specific name and email address. In such case, make sure to completely fill in this information exactly as specified, or your unlock code will be rejected by the software. Click OK, and fill in your PhotoZoom Pro 3 unlock info. Again, if a name and email address are specified with your unlock code, make sure to fill in all information (i.e. Unlock Code, Name, and Email) exactly as specified. Should the problem persist, please let us know, and include any relevant registration details you have. Also please specify where and when you have purchased the software. The answer to the following question may also be helpful. |
The software does not accept my unlock code. What should I do? |
First, make sure that you have installed the correct product version. For example, an unlock code for "PhotoZoom Pro 2" does not work with "PhotoZoom Pro 3", "PhotoZoom Classic 3", or "PhotoZoom Express 3" (and vice versa). If you have installed the wrong product version, please download the correct one from our download page. You may need to look in the "previous products" section to find the correct download. Prior to filling in your unlock info, select the "I am a new user" option in case you purchased a full license (i.e. not an upgrade license). Otherwise, select the applicable upgrade option. When filling in your unlock info, it is of great importance to enter all info as specified in your original registration details. In case a name and email address are explicitly specified with your unlock code, fill in that name and email address exactly as specified. For example, if the name "George F Williams" is explicitly specified with your unlock code, the software will not accept "G F Williams", "George F. Williams", or "George". Should problems persist, please let us know, and include any relevant registration details you have. Also please specify where and when you have purchased the software. |

How do I install PhotoZoom Pro (version 1, 2, or 3) as a plug-in for Adobe® Photoshop®, and how/where can I access the plug-in from within Photoshop? |
- PhotoZoom Pro 3 on Windows:
To install PhotoZoom Pro 3 as an Automation plug-in and Export plug-in, run the PhotoZoom Pro 3 Setup file (either downloaded or from CD). During the installation process, make sure the checkboxes "Install Automation plug-in" and "Install Export plug-in" are checked. Finish the installation process, and (re)start Photoshop. PhotoZoom Pro 3 should now be accessible in Photoshop via "File" > "Automate" and "File" > "Export". Prior to installing the Automation and/or Export plug-in, browse to Photoshop's "Plug-Ins" folder. This folder is located in the folder where you have installed Adobe Photoshop. To install the Automation plug-in, copy the folder "PhotoZoom Pro 3 Automation" into Photoshop's "Plug-Ins" folder. To install the Export plug-in, copy the folder "PhotoZoom Pro 3 Export" into the "Import/Export" folder of Photoshop's "Plug-Ins" folder. Once you have installed the plug-ins, PhotoZoom Pro 3 will be listed in Photoshop under "File" > "Automate" and "File" > "Export". If Photoshop was running during the installation, you will need to restart it to make sure it recognizes the plug-ins. - PhotoZoom Pro 1 or PhotoZoom Pro 2 on Windows:
Run the PhotoZoom Pro 1 or PhotoZoom Pro 2 Setup file (either downloaded or from CD). During the installation process, make sure the checkbox "Install exporter plug-in" is checked, in order to install the plug-in. Finish the installation process, and (re)start Photoshop. PhotoZoom Pro 1 or PhotoZoom Pro 2 should now be accessible in Photoshop via "File" > "Export". - PhotoZoom Pro 1 or PhotoZoom Pro 2 on Mac:
Copy the file "PhotoZoom Pro Export Plugin" or "PhotoZoom Pro 2 Export Plugin" (either downloaded or from CD) to the "Import/Export" folder of Photoshop's "Plug-Ins" folder. The "Plug-Ins" folder is located in the folder where you have installed Adobe Photoshop. PhotoZoom Pro 1 or PhotoZoom Pro 2 should now be accessible in Photoshop via "File" > "Export". If Photoshop was running during the installation, you will need to restart it to make sure it recognizes the plug-in. |

Is the PhotoZoom Pro 3 Photoshop plug-in compatible with my 64-bit version of Adobe® Photoshop®? |
The PhotoZoom Pro 3 plug-in itself is 32-bit only; a 64-bit version is currently in development. In the meantime, you can already use PhotoZoom Pro 3 as a plug-in: - On Windows, run the 32-bit version of Photoshop. You can find this in the Start menu or on your desktop.
- On Mac, right-click on Photoshop and choose 'Run as 32-bit'.
Note: PhotoZoom Pro 3 can also be used as a Stand-alone application, which works with both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows and Mac OS X. |

How do I update my software to the latest version? |
We release free updates regularly, which can be downloaded directly from our download page. You can simply install the latest update over your current installation, so you do not need to uninstall first. The easiest way to check whether an update is available, is from within the software. Go to the "Help" menu and click "Check for Updates". The software will immediately let you know whether or not an update is available. |
